Julia Donaldson has a fast-growing reputation as a children's writer. She won the Smarties Prize and the Blue Peter Award for The Gruffalo, illustrated by Axel Scheffler. Since then, Julie and Axel have collaborated on a number of highly successful and award-winning picture books, including The Gruffalo's Child and Room on the Broom. Julia lives in Glasgow.
